My kid made a pretty complicated recipe, that took some actual muscle, and using ingredients he didn’t love, and had fun! At the end he said he wanted to join the next class, whatever it is, because he loved the teachers so much. Thank you!
Fridays are my favorite day of the week because I come home from work to find a delicious meal made by my daughter. She’s proud of feeding our family, we *love* the recipes, and she’s becoming a competent, confident cook.
Simple recipes and adjusted pace for different learners.
The instructor and moderator were fantastic and so patient with the varied cooking times of everyone’s potato prep my son loved this workshop and the results were delicious!! He was very proud of himself after it was beautiful!!
This class was great! There were AMAZING instructors that explained everything in detail. They also made you feel comfortable asking questions and participating in activities. I’ve never had a bad class with Dynamite Cooking Shop!
I loved watching my kids go from hesitant to confident in their knife skills and create a beautiful and delicious salad that we all enjoyed at dinner. Thank you!
Recipes are doable classics, yet adventurous enough to introduce kids to perceived non-kid ingredients, which, in my option, is one of the core principles of a successful kid cooking class.

Meet the Founders

In 2017, we had this idea: to teach kids to cook by delegating dinner. As food professionals--and moms--we’d had enough with kids cooking classes, books and shows that infantilized food, talked down to kids, and treated cooking as a competitive sport.
And as busy working parents, we knew the dinnertime hustle and challenge was real. We also knew that it was harder than ever for our generation, which didn’t get to benefit from the support and kitchen wisdom inherent in multi-generational households. So we created a program where empowering kids in the kitchen to get dinner on the table at least once a week was the solution to all that.
